I ordered this traditional Indonesian food, nasi kuning something.
The chicken tasted quite familiar, something I had before, perhaps when I was little but I have no idea what it was called.
The husband ordered some pasta
They have a great brunch menu
Deciding what to order is always tough
The husband settled for some scrambled eggs...great presentation but it took them a bloody long time to stuff those empty egg shells with the scrambled eggs
I took the steak sandwich with sweet potatoes

First one for the day...the husband is chuffed
Some musings...
We hung around at the beach til sunset
A hearty dinner
As the husband had a meeting in town, I thought I might hitch a ride there and have a lunch date with some lovely ladies. They just got back from a weekend trip to Singapore (they have never been out of Indonesia before) and seeing as I couldn't join, they wanted to tell me some stories they had. The main goal was to visit the newly built Universal studio but unfortunately most of the rides were still closed so to their disappointment, couldn't get in...but it didn't stop them from taking photos from outside the gates.

When we arrived, some of the staff were doing some coffee training which is rare to see (they really know their stuff), and for once there weren't 15 staff staring at you with nothing to do which is even rare to experience in Jakarta!
The husband ordered his freshly grounded and brewed coffee
...and we received a free packet of coffee beans, we chose this one
These are the types of coffee they have, but when you see it at a glance, it kind of looks like a description of the islands in Indonesia...and yes, I would describe Aceh as earthy and spicy.
Our lense is kaput (the autofocus doesn't work anymore so we went to JPC Kemang to see if they can fix it. Long story short, they couldn't(...well they could but for the same price as if we were to sell it) so we got a new lense...ooo it makes everything look so romantic!
Whenever we drop by JPC the place is always packed! I mean, packed!
If you are a camera collector or photography-obsessed then this place is worth checking out. They have some crazy lense collection as well as collector's cameras. I mean look at that camera in the middle, the Hermes collectors edition, there are only 200 of them made in the world and of all places, one of them is in this little shop in Jakarta!
